Counsel from a Prophet

"Many more people could ride out the storm-tossed waves in their economic lives if they had their supply of food and were debt-free. Today we find that many have followed this counsel in reverse: they have at least a year's supply of debt and are food-free."
-President Thomas S. Monson, Ensign, March 2009

Wise counsel from our great leader! I think we've all learned the Prophet gives us this counsel for a certain reason.

Hmmm... yeah I think he was directing that to Evan and I. Whoops! Too bad we have no intentions of paying off our loans in the next two years and too bad we are planning on going in to more debt than money I have ever seen. Ironically, we feel pretty good about the whole thing. (Dont worry we take great pride in becoming debt free)

The prophet has also said that going into debt for an education is honorable. I didn't mean to make anyone feel guilty. Just thought his words were timely and clever.
