Sad Day

Yesterday was a sad day in my life. You see, my blender died. If you will recall, my fruit smoothie is my love. And without my blender I can't have my love. It was the ugliest scene, right out of a scary Freddie Kruger Halloween movie. I had loaded up my blender with the freshest, most beautiful of all foods. I even put in my very last banana. I blended to perfection. But alas, when I went to remove the blender from the base, the blender broke and the base stayed in place and I held in my hand the broken pitcher thingy. And guess what happened to the deliciousnessity (that was for you Casey) fruit smoothie? Well it spilled all over my Bosch, all over the floor, the kitchen rug... like I said, quite an ugly scene.

And all I ate was raw almonds for my breakfast.

Sad day.

Time for a vitamix? I think I really would have cried, because I hate cleaning up those kind of messes. I always think, "I wonder what I would be doing right now if I didn't have to clean up this mess."

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Even if you get a new blender, it will never be the same will it? Kinda like when you finally find the perfect pair of blue jeans and eventually, even if it isn't slowly, grow out of them. 'Tis a sad day indead.

I am sorry to hear about the blender. I hope to hear that you get a new one and get your love back very soon.

All the pink thoughts worked, it is a girl! Due date is March 14. I am half way through, Yay!

Seriously, a vitamix is the way to go. My in-laws have one and it's fab. Plus you can make soups and bread and grind wheat in it and stuff. OH, and most importantly- icecream with carrots and squash and stuff. Sweet!

Ha ha ha! Suz, your comment made me laugh! Things totally got blown out of proportion. Here's the honest truth--(and I hope you read this!) I felt truly bad anyway when your mom ended up in the hospital and felt somewhat responsible for her blockage, then when I read your post I started feeling bad again. Even though I sensed a note of seriousness in your blog, I could totally tell that you were joking. Who said I was mad? I could never be mad at you!

Hay, your inlaws must have more money that I do. Vitamixes are EX-PENSIVE! Like $500.00! Besides I already spent $60.00 just to get a new cup/blade thingy for my Bosch. It has been with me for almost as long as Lee has, so I think I will be just fine. Thanks for your concern. I really am having a hard time eating cold cereal and soy milk this week. I miss my fruity-licous, blockage causing fruit of the gods!
