Poor Me

Grandma Manwill sent the family an email yesterday. She recently had surgery on her finger. The doctor gave her a shot in it yesterday and it was numb. It felt like a stick rather than a finger, so she had a hard time accomplishing anything. At the end of her email she wrote, "Poor me."

Mom was only teasing. She always has a "lucky me" attitude and rarely complains.

How is your day going? Is it a "poor me" day or a "lucky me" day? I want to hear from everyone who reads this blog. Post your comments, please!

Lucky Me!
Yesterday, I went swimming with my kids. I lost Isaac for a couple of minutes and thought I was going to have a stroke or a heart attack. He had gotten out of the pool without me knowing and laid down underneath the towel. So when I looked for him it looked like a bunch of towels. I was so worried. I had everyone looking for him. I said about 50 million prayers in those few minutes. And Heavenly Father answered them. We found him within a few minutes. So he really wasn't lost at all. I am so blessed. So I am counting myself among the "lucky" (blessed).

I'm having a poor me day(what's new right?). First I have laryngitis and I sound like I have been a smoker for about 20 years. Second, I took my kids swimming today too and got a bad sun burn because I have no one to rub sun screen on my back where I can't reach. And third, I went to the library today to participate in one of the summer programs they have and they wouldn't let me and the boys in. Something about, reaching the capacity...but I think it was really just an excuse not to get up and open the doors...Poor me!!

Strike that, a lucky day. Wes just walked in the door with ice cream. It's amazing what a vat of creamy deliciousness can do for the spirits.

Nothing spectacular here. That's not always bad. Our life is pretty predictable so far this summer. The only thing I would change, if I could, is gas prices. On the other hand I am blessed where I live, Ben was telling me the other day Missouri has the lowest gas prices of the country. They are way to high still. I can't drive my car anywhere. It sits in the driveway, we take Ben's car everywhere. Good thing we don't have a lot of places we have to be.

I guess it's a lucky me day,
Oh this is Sam by the way just reading you make me laugh! I survived church alone as usaul, I didn't have to beat anyone in sacrament meeting, made it through my class, kolby's talk and my classes sharing time presentation, all in one piece.
Although yesterday some fat baby at the Bruger King play place sat on Kolby's pinky finger which is now swollen,so that might mean a trip to the doctor with the whole gang Yeah always fun! "lucky me" Maybe nurse Aunt Jill can check it out tonite and save us.Thanks for letting me vent leave us post anytime!
